VOYAGE 2019

‘Imagine, Innovate, Invent and Inspire- Keeping this motto in mind to showcase their talents, the engineering and architecture students of OmDayal Group of Institutions organised the 4th  Tech Fest VOYAGE 2019 on 26 and 27th September 2019  in the college campus As every year  the Two Day TECH FEST was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell   to bring out the innovative and creative talent of the B.Tech and B.Arch students. Around 110 students from the four Engineering departments and Architecture department enthusiastically participated in this mega event of the year.

To commemorate the 200th Birth Anniversary of Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, the great polymath, floral tributes were also offered.

The Chief Guest of the Tech Fest was Prof. Anupam Basu, Director of NIT Durgapur who was felicitated with a floral bouquet and a memento. The Secretary of OmDayal Educational and Research Society, Mr. Alok Tibrewal along with other dignitaries from industries graced the Tech Fest.

Under the guidance of their teachers, the students made a stunning display of their innovative projects and models based on concepts from all the domains of engineering. The Chief Guest Prof. Anupam Basu stressed the need of doing more research and thinking out of the box. He applauded the students’ efforts and the innovativeness of their projects keeping in mind the future of mankind and suggested ways to improve their projects. Both the Principal- in- Charge, Prof Kalyan Mukherjee and Vice Principal Dr. Prosenjit Sen appreciated the efforts of the students and motivated them.

Around 160 students from 10 reputed schools in and around Kolkata & Howrah like Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, Bagnan High School, Mugkalyan High School and Uluberia High School visited the Tech Exhibition and were overwhelmed by the exhibits asking a lot of questions to the students. The Alumni were also invited who motivated the juniors with their presence.

The Two Day Fest was visited by many eminent guests from the field of engineering and education who gave valuable inputs to the students. Some outstanding projects were Wi-Fi Controlled Wireless Radar, Face Detection Security System using Raspberry Pi,  Fingerprint Based ATM System, Robot using Raspberry Pi, Smart Traffic Signal, Base Isolation, Rainwater Harvesting, Hand Gesture Controlled Wheelchair, IoT based Health Monitoring System, Automatic Attendance System, Wireless Power Transmission System, Automatic Drain Cleaner, Stair Climbing Car, Hands Free Water Dispenser.

The students of Architecture Department showcased their creativity through the models of Circuit House, Structural Bridge and Meditation Centre and poster displays.

Trophies and Certificates were distributed to the participating students.
