Department of Electronics   Communications Engineering

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is lead dynamic, young and experienced faculty members and is backed by state-of-the-art laboratory and other facilities. To ignite the young minds in order to attain academic excellence OmDayal Group of Institutions have instruments in the fields of Basic Electronics & Electrical, Analog Electronics, Control System, Digital Electronics, Solid State Device, Analog & Digital Communication, Signal System & DSP, Microprocessor & Microcontroller etc.

The department conducts regular Workshops, Seminars, Invitational Lectures by professors for renowned academic institutions and professionals from industries. The department has an excellent placement record and most of the students are placed in reputed organizations. A few students have also enrolled themselves for pursuing higher studies in reputed institutions.

Activities

  1. Workshop on Mobile Phone Controlled Robot using AVR Microcontroller ’MOBILEBOTICS’
    The Department Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a two-day workshop on Mobile Phone Controlled Robot using AVR Microcontroller, ‘MOBILEBOTICS’ in collaboration with Dalvik Apps on 19th & 20th May 2017.

    At this workshop students learnt the basic building blocks of Robotics as well as Bluetooth communication technology and developed a variety of autonomous & wireless controlled Robots powered by an Atmel’s AVR series’ microcontroller. While building it, students successfully interfaced a serial Bluetooth module with PC, microcontroller and using an Android Bluetooth App controlled the Robot maneuvering.

  2. Mr. Sudipta Chatterjee, Assistant Professor of ECE Department, attended a 1-day workshop on ‘E-learning: Challenges and Opportunities’ organized by British Council and All India Council for Technical Education at JIS College of Engineering, Kalyani on 2nd May 2017.
  3. Mrs. Poulomi Das, Assistant Professor of ECE Department, attended a TEQIP PHASE II sponsored one day workshop on ‘EMERGING PROSPECTS IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORK’, organized by Department of Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering, Jadavpur University on 10th March 2017.
  4. Ms. Swarupa Ojha & Mrs. Poulomi Das, Assistant Professors of ECE Department, attended TEQIP sponsored Short Term Course on ‘EMBEDDED SYSTEM DESIGN’ held between 20-24 June 2016 at IIT Kharagpur.
  5. Mrs. Poulomi Das, Assistant Professor of ECE Department, attended a 2-week ISTE workshop on ”CONTROL SYSTEM’, conducted by IIT Kharagpur from 2nd to 12th December, 2014. This workshop was held under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD).
  6. Mrs. Poulomi Das, Assistant Professor of ECE Department, attended a two week ISTE workshop on ‘SIGNALS & SYSTEM’, conducted by IIT Kharagpur from 2nd to 12th January, 2014. This workshop was held under the National Mission on Education through ICT (MHRD).
